The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne’s famous adventure novel “Around the World in 80 Days”. The Classique fountain pen in anthracite precious resin draws inspiration from the second leg of the journey, from Bombay to Yokohama. On this second adventurous leg, the protagonists travel on a majestic elephant, which appears in a cartouche on the cap. The clip features a red lacquered ace of diamonds and the cone is engraved with a motif inspired by Princess Aouda’s jewels and the suits of cards, representing Fogg’s wager to complete the journey in 80 days. The top of the cap is embossed with the duration of the journey: 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is completed by a handcrafted 14K gold nib, decorated with a hot air balloon and the dates 20/10 and 14/11: Fogg leaves Bombay on October 20 at 8pm and Yokohama on November 14 at 6pm.
